The ladies, gentlemen, weapons and heroes portrayed on the frescoed walls trigger and stimulate the imagination of young visitors. During the workshop students use a simplified technique to produce a small fresco - an initial, enjoyable attempt at interpreting a work of art, mastering the fresco technique, and becoming familiar with the work performed in a Renaissance bottega.
Duration: approximately 2 hours

THE "HERBAL" WORKSHOP
The “Cum Grano Salis” project created by the Associazione Progetto Natura e Salute has been a fixture at the Castle for fifteen years. The initiatives organised by the Association focus on the history and multiple uses of medicinal herbs.
This educational workshop teaches participants about medieval kitchen gardens, apothecaries and herbal rituals considered “magical” because they were performed by “witches”.
During the workshop the children will use natural products to prepare one of the following: infusions, ointments, syrups and soaps (to be decided in advance). Children may take the product home and use it if they wish to.
Duration: approx. 2 hours
